subscribing to the thread! I don't remember seeing it phrased like this, but I can think of a few practices that fall into this category. Something that's underappreciated is basically adding your own identifiers as anchors in comments, especially when you have code in multiple places that should be considered together

Tangentially related to what Arne wrote, a new habit I took up recently was to move comments inside the forms they annotate. Sort of like docstrings for forms that don't support docstrings. This way they have a better chance of moving together.
