good morning

Good balcony morning

Morning

one of the joys of coding things is that sometimes people say your baby is ugly and stupid and that it says something bad about the parents too

Parents or parens?

Imagine they say that then say they haven't even looked at the baby

They hadn't looked at the baby. At least not much

What was the criticism if i may be so bold to ask?

That the product idea was bad and replicated what they already had (even tho I created it as a response to the things that are already out there)

It is a benchmarking tool that concentrates on areas local authorities can actually change rather than just feeling good or bad about league tables

It is all early and rough because I want feedback

I feel that time series and box plots are essential to understanding here

Are the main public things I'm not happy with

I'm only doing it because a few customers have lobbied for me to do it

I feel like people too often jump to the conclusion that it's bad because they don't understand it. Products are doubly hard, when something weird, unexpected and essentially unpredictable can strike. May your skin thicken appropriately.

You made me happy β€” I now have someone else's data sciency open source notebook thing I can study! πŸ™

I've had enough good reactions from others to know I'm on to something

The benchmarking stuff is good because I can play with open data and show all my working

Most of the other notebooks are tied to client stuff so not really shareable by us (tho we do license them open source to the clients so they can do what they want)

Proud to see you using Clerk 😊

I've been really enjoying it

tho I've had some good feedback too
