Just looking at today's commits... the regression in alpha 8 is fixed (thank you!) and I see :defaults is going away... could you speak a bit more about the thinking behind that? Both what led to introducing :defaults and now its removal?
When :defaults appeared, I scoured our codebase to see if there were use cases for it and I must admit, I failed to find any...
iirc a previous version of :all or :select didn't populate the result with the values in :or, and :defaults was intended to cover that for merging after
yeah, we worked past the use case of needing it (:all and/or :select + :excess) should now be sufficient for the use cases we were thinking about
I believe I am seeing a regression in alpha8 around metadata and go blocks:
user> (let [c (ca/chan 1)]
(ca/! c (with-meta [] {:some-metadata 1213}))
(meta (ca/
It works as expected (returns the metadata) in all previous 1.13.0 alphas.I can reproduce on alpha8, expanding the new inline meta form shows the expression that throws
(let [c (a/chan 1)]
(a/go
(a/>! c [])
(let [G__x (a/
this has been fixed as of this later commit https://github.com/clojure/clojure/commit/b4ea70847026cb44d429cf964ad1e8e36b7b3e63Yes, should be fixed in next alpha
Yes, can confirm
