I was once in a Chinese Clojure group in WeChat, but got myself expelled because they don't like my preaching Clojure, strangely.
I will go to Chengdu for a few weeks in late July and August, hence my question. I would be happy to give a talk on Clojure when I am there. I can talk in Mandarin, Sichuan dialect, or in English.
I would like that. I had a dev team in Chengdu a few years ago. Between me and them, we may be able to get the word out for a Clojure meetup. Please DM me. Also, thanks for pointing out that channel exists from my #jobs post
never mind...I just noticed this message was from 2024...anyway. Clojure meetups in China would be great. Let me know if you're coming back.
I spend half of my time in China for family reasons. I mainly reside in Hainan and Henan. But in between I will travel to the big cities too. Shenzhen is where I land when I go to Hainan. I've been to Chengdu a couple of years ago. I love to travel in China and discover new places. I'm happy to have asked the question of who's doing Clojure in China. You're out there!
If anyone has an idea for a meetup, or organizing something, I would love to hear more and contribute. Also, teaching Clojure in China is a topic that interests me. It doesn't seem that Clojure is taught in institutions, but rather individuals discovering the language independently. Feel free to DM me.
