this was set up to have an alternative to http://meeup.com, because meetup keeps asking for fees which is really annoying, and they're generally a kind of crappy company

I believe there's also still a google group mailing list somewhere...

and I'll post on my socials

If a few more people join we can re-consider having a modest meetup along with a few drinks
