I’m doing a massive code transformation to clean up a lot of tech debt

I should probably feel more scared/worried about doing this

You'll be glad you did. Probably.

I think there's a point where you realise you're more scarred of how the tech debt can break than how you could break stuff during a refactoring.

I think I’m more scarred from doing it with js/ts and things just… breaking

Meanwhile I swear I do a major code refactor every couple of months and it’s generally just… fine

(I mean, most of the refactor is a programatic re-write of some part of our DSL, but still)
