YAMLScript uses Java's SnakeYAML engine for the parsing (hard part). I was able to produce a pure Clojure equivalent to SnakeYAML's parser code (which is needed to get off of GraalVM) but currently it's about 11x slower than the pure Java one. Stay tuned...
