Does XTDB 2 have anything like XTDB 1's client transaction listeners and open-tx-log functionality now? If not, is it anticipated in a near-term release?
@taylor.jeremydavid off topic but… Congratulations on the baby!
All of my children are grown up. That distant era when they were babies makes me wish my mind was bitemporal and retained everything. They grow up fast. It's apparently a process that can be neither slowed down nor reversed. I fired a few pediatricians before I accepted the diagnosis that they were growing up. Enjoy the time while you can!
Hi @bobcalco this was discussed somewhat a few months back here https://clojurians.slack.com/archives/CG3AM2F7V/p1746783834621559?thread_ts=1746783834.621559&cid=CG3AM2F7V - the short answer is that for now you have to poll. If the latencies or CPU impact is too high for you when polling then let's chat and see what can be done in the near future (also conscious I need to respond to your form submission still - life is a bit tricky right now with a baby on my lap but I'll have some more desk time to process it next week and arrange a meeting 🙂)
There's no work explicitly planned currently, but it is an outstanding area - see also https://github.com/xtdb/xtdb/issues/2454
