I’d like to deploy xtdb2 in Google Cloud . I think I want to deploy a the prebuilt docker image and supply necessary GCS module config through the environment or command line but I’m not sure how to make that happen. Of course, if RTFM is the right answer, just tell me 🙂
Browsing the source, I see that node-config.yaml
the config file name
Hey @U2845S9KL unfortunately we don't have documentation for Google Cloud or the equivalent to a cloudformation template yet, but I'd be happy to help you figure some things out. Would you be up for meeting again sometime soon? It will definitely help to understand the kind of timeline you're envisaging 🙂
Hi! This is for a hobby project and there is no particular timeframe. Happy to meet but I also understand if you don’t want to put time / effort toward my hobby 🙂
fwiw, I’ve decided that a single XTDB node persisting to local disk is good enough to get me going. I believe the only missing piece is setting up a node-config.yaml in the docker image. I don’t think that’s difficult - I just haven’t tested it yet.
ah understood, though it would be nice to catch up in any case! if you have any time next week: https://calendar.app.google/nGfowoQdBmQx9e29A (no pressure though) > I believe the only missing piece is setting up a node-config.yaml in the docker image. That sounds great. I just took a slot next Wed. Looking forward to catching up
