Wow, that's the first I've heard of vim-clap. There's a gif in the vim-clap README and it looks badass.

I'm playing with it atm.

I've got it enabled for buffers files, grep (uses rg)

seems to work pretty darn well

there's a way to config fzf to popup in the middle of the screen

I should give it a go, at work I'm restricted and can't use fzf. So pure vimscript is good.

YOu can't use fzf? Is your environment that locked down?

Can't just fetch random binaries from the internet

Only with 1 particular client.

Do you have to request also to visit websites?

(I used to work in a place that had similar restrictions...I had to fill a form in for every site I wanted to visit...including those that I googled in order to help solve problems)

I did not stay long at that job.
