The question asked by @volrath in https://github.com/Unrepl/unrepl.el/pull/1 (and Czech beers) got me thinking: the idirection between operations and their implementation will indeed proves useful when CLJSJS support comes but it is also useful in the context of BYOB: if the user wants to swap or tweak the completion implementation for example.
