@cgrand I've thought about it but that brings its own set of issues (will it still work in eshell/strange terminal emulator/whatever?). Plus how many full screen terminal programs do people use these days (except for vim and emacs)?

I've tried to install the Chez Scheme interpreter as recommended by dnolen but haven't managed on macos yet. Apparently Chez has an interesting interaction model
