was anyone ever able to deal automagically deal with the issue of cider-nrepl stealing the default *out*? we have a solution but it causes duplicate logs which i really want to get rid of

sadly not. i found a setting for cider-nrepl which did fix it, but its local to your Emacs config, and when enabled println calls won't show up in your terminal when connected via nrepl
