Do we have an active policy on AI generated content? I'm noticing some articles being posted are definitely AI generated 😅
@seancorfield In such diverse span, maybe the best policy is a requirement that AI generated content must be clearly labeled as such.
@blueberry That might work, but it would have to be on an honor system -- to avoid the admin team having to police the policy and check every new article posted...
Not just that, but it doesn't really cover the spectrum of AI usage. It's one thing to generate a blog post out of whole cloth but that's not how I would use it
One could envision AI used for an outline, or swapping out the wording in a paragraph, or spelling/grammar correction, etc etc
We don't... yet. This is a large community and we have members who are vehemently anti-AI and members who are staunchly pro-AI, so I don't know that we'd get consensus on such a policy? Are there particularly egregious examples that you can point to that we should take into account?
Mind if I DM you rather than publicly accusing someone? 😅
NP, go ahead!
I doubt anyone would complain (or even notice) if AI was used for an "outline" or "swapping out the wording" or grammar/spelling, or any other purely technical eye candy. I'm talking about the blatant "Gemini, write me an article about X", which is slowly plaguing the Web landscape...
hey friends, can we get this added as :nrepl:?
