My LinkedIn feed is full of interesting Clojure content. This is because I have advertised among Clojurians to connect with me on LinkedIn. At the Clojure Conj @cjb told me that the same has happened to his LinkedIn. Cameron reasoned that this increased activity not only makes for a much more enjoyable feed for us, it also makes Clojure more visible to our connections. Even if they do not always understand or follow what we are posting about, it makes for awareness, Some post may find these non-Clojurians with a subject they do recognize and at a time when they do care, and then this increased awareness will help them not miss it. It also can help when Clojure is mentioned in their workplace, or whatever. (BTW, my policy for LinkedIn connection requests is that I will always accept if there is a Clojurian requesting.) I hereby want to advertise LinkedIn as great place for us to connect and to talk about Clojure things and as a side effect spread awareness. It actually helps that a lot of the competing content is not all that valuable. π
Happy to connect with Clojurians on LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/seancorfield/

This post has gotten 4K views, which is pretty good compared to my usual reach on LinkedIn. According to the analytics it is being viewed by exactly the right people too π https://www.linkedin.com/posts/cospaia_jank-activity-7397262017235140609-QP5j
@pez Wow, thatβs great!
Looking forward to more Clojure and less AI gibberish in my feed π₯°
I've had a deluge of connection requests -- and I'm def. seeing more Clojure content this past week! Keep it up!
Iβve gotten a bunch of connection requests too.
Happy to connect to other Clojure folks as well: https://www.linkedin.com/in/steven-proctor

@pez After you encouraged people to connect last summer, Iβve been connecting ever since. Iβve seen a big increase of Clojure content and activity on LinkedIn too. Itβs exciting! Thanks for the prompt.
If you are curious about what went down at The Conj I can recommend joining the #clojure-conj channel and either just lurk, or ask about things. While itβs still fresh on the minds of us attendees. Iiuc, it may take a while before the recordings are published this time around. (TL;DR: The Conj was pretty damn awesome. π)
