Has there been any additional information on the community day October 25th that I might have missed? I’m thinking timelines mainly, as that would help when trying to organize a local event. Given the difference in time zone, I am sceptical if it will work from Denmark, but I have my fingers crossed.
A couple of questions from our side, related to the Watch event planned in Stockholm 25/10. How will access to the Zoom Webinar be given and to whom? Do i need to submit my email address anywhere? Ideally i would like to start setting this up early on the 25th, say 8 am your time, to iron out kinks if any. We are planning on streaming the live stream from the event on a projector in our room with the local attendees. Will this stream be on Youtube or somewhere else? When and where will the URL appear? 🙂 Thanks in advance
Also. Will the streaming be on a public link or do we need some kind of streaming ticket?
Here’s the streaming URL, btw: https://tinyurl.com/conj24live
@alexmiller Is that the same webinar where @kristian.j.kjeldsen will be joining as panelist somehow? I’m a noob with these things, so please don’t hesitate to explain something like I don’t know anything. 😃
yes - I'll get back to you later today
Not planning to do anything like remote questions, just want to show the stream who’s watching remotely at some point
@alexmiller We will be organizing a local event too in Stockholm. You mentioned something about streaming from the local events to Alexandria, right?
yeah, we'd like to be able to pull up remote events if possible to put them on the stream - certainly will have a big group watching in Sao Paulo
We will try to stream from the Stockholm office then. I imagine camera(s) facing the audience? I don’t know much about streaming… Will we be streaming to a URL that you catch there at the Conj?
It will be @kristian.j.kjeldsen hosting in Stockholm, as I will be at the Conj. Luckily Kristian is savvy with streaming stuff.
It will be a zoom webinar and we can add you as a panelist for a look in
@mdiin, I don’t remember where I picked up the times, but at least for now the Stockholm Watch Party – Clojure/Conj 2024 is communicated as that the streaming will happen between 15 and 23 CET. https://www.meetup.com/sthlm-clj/events/301503161/ “Details to be figured out”. @kristian.j.kjeldsen and I will be doing some planning on Friday. Let us know if you wanna huddle a bit then and we can figure together.
@alexmiller will there be questions taken from the remote audience?
We think we could support this scenario, with two-way communication via the Webinar, then switch to listen-only mode for when we do not pose questions from Stockholm, but the specifics of the setup are TBD. And regardless, looking forward to being part of this event, it will be a lot of fun.
