Wikimedia Commons is proclaiming to the public, regarding the Clojure logo, that > This logo image consists only of simple geometric shapes or text. You don't think Nubank has enough vested interest in that particular copyright to pay for a letter to be sent?
They suggest that it is trademarked though.
Crazy that wikipedia even takes a stance on that. Though for perspective it's the same for: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Pepsi_logo_2014.svg Who I'm sure have no shortage of lawyers and people who are aware of this blurb on wikipedia
@eveningsky Personally I'd imagine that threatening legal action against Wikimedia would be counterproductive since many people who heard about it would feel negatively toward Clojure as a result. People are very protective of Wikipedia.
(& reasonably so since it's arguably the greatest single achievement of open collaboration in the internet age)
The Clojure logo is fairly complex. I think "length of SVG data needed to describe" should be the criteria. 😄
