Oh ya, I like that it's an option at all. I personally have found indentation based delimited syntaxes to be less practical and more annoying over time.

And mostly, with smartparens or paredit, I feel a lot more productive. Those additional edit transformations you listed, like barf and splice, once mastered, allow you to change the code and restructure it much more quickly then re-indenting would. At least for me.

That said, maybe I need to try newer incarnations of pareinfer.

I do like it on my mobile phone, replete uses pareinfer, and on a mobile phone keyboard, it's nice not having to type as many parenthesis
