@jstew thanks. I commented on that ticket, and it looks like it's cider-load-buffer-and-switch-to-repl-buffer, although it's not at all clear to me how you could use that to trampoline the cider repl, which was my original aim.

My Spacemacs (Sierra) repl seems to hang when 100 rows are returned from a HugSQL query. Anyone noticed anything similar?
