I've started getting this warning:

(Spacemacs) Warning: Auto-evilication could not remap these functions in map `archive-mode-map':
   - `archive-chgrp-entry' originally mapped on `G'

zane02:11:54

Not sure what's causing it. Anyone have insight?

zane02:11:30

I don't have anything referencing arc-mode in my .spacemacs, which is what archive-mode-map is from.

alandipert03:11:10

@zane I just fixed recently in my config, 1 sec

alandipert03:11:26

It's because you're on emacs 26 probably

alandipert03:11:45

Give that a whirl

zane14:11:12

Thanks @alandipert. I'm on 25.1.1 for what that's worth.

This bug report is in inspiring me to pepper my future bug reports with emoji.

alandipert14:11:26

oh, weird. still curious to know the scoop

ag18:11:51

oh… cool I didn’t know @alandipert uses Spacemacs 🙂 Did you convince Micha too to abandon Vim?

alandipert18:11:05

he used it for a year and then switched back to vim

eggsyntax18:11:50

@alandipert that seems like a pretty uncommon reversion. Do you recall what motivated him to switch back?

ag18:11:12

@micha you should definitely give it another chance. Spacemacs is a lot more stable now. I am a die-hard Vim fan, yet even I have discovered - Emacs is better Vim than Vim

eggsyntax20:11:22

Hey @micha! So what motivated you to switch back to vim?

micha21:11:26

@eggsyntax i tried to like emacs, i gave it like a year

micha21:11:22

the main thing that didn't work for me was managing buffers really

micha21:11:59

also vim feels faster and lighter, which i like (i don't use any complex plugins, only really simple ones and not too many of them)
