@bojan.matic @eggsyntax fwiw, I find setting menu-bar-mode to any value, for example putting (menu-bar-mode t), will bring up the options at the top. Just for future reference!

@bendy: oh, right, should have expected there to be a var controlling it. Mine was there at first install IIRC, so I never thought about it.
