Hi, how can I ensure that the channels I care about here are replicated on zulip? I checked zulip for the #emmy channel and it seems not to be there even though the zulip bot is in the channel. Same for #pattern, and I'm sure many others as well.
If a channel here contains the @zulip-mirror-bot then it will be mirrored to a topic within the #slack-archive channel:
#emmy => https://clojurians.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/180378-slack-archive/topic/emmy
#pattern doesn't seem to have the Zulip bot so it has not been mirrored.
Top-level channels in Zulip are unrelated to the bot and can be created by anyone.
Once a top-level channel exists in Zulip, you can request for the mirror bot to also mirror posts from a Slack channel to a Slack archive topic in that channel. That has been done for a few channels but has to be requested of the maintainer, since it is a manual configuration change in the bot itself. See https://clojurians.zulipchat.com/#narrow/channel/152091-honeysql/topic/Slack.20archive for example.
Also, note that it doesn't backfill, so you only see messages after the bot is added to a channel and -- for the Slack archive topic -- after the configuration change has been made to the bot.
