Why is that?

Because this is a free account with very limited integrations. So all integrations need to be discussed / approved by the admin team.

I think Slack API is enabled by default in teams though

Lots of things are enabled by default but on a free plan you hit limits quickly with a large community and have to disable things.

All the large Slacks I’m in have had to disable most functionality for regular users and funnel all requests through the admin team.

A paid plan for this community would cost about $42,000 per month.
