Hey, my company Dataico is hiring again. We’re a full-stack Clojure(script)/Datomic/AWS shop using Fulcro for the front-end. All of our engineers are full-stack, and we also prefer that everyone have at least some interest in infrastructure as we run cross-functional teams. We’re completely remote, but the company is in Colombia. English is our engineering language, but Spanish is helpful (not required). NOTE: We will consider candidates from anywhere, but the salary range isn’t likely to be attractive to North Americans. In COP it is 16M+ depending on experience and other qualifications. Follow the instructions on the LinkedIn page for applications. https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/view/4248055351/
NOTE: We received a lot of applications (over 100) so please be patient as we filter through them.
Rad! What’s the payment frequency the 16M+ COP salary range? My first thought was yearly, but I wasn’t sure so wanted to clarify. Thanks!
monthly. That’s roughly $4k USD/month. That’s a Junior level to mid-level. $7k USD is for solid mid-level. Can go higher for senior. Exchange rate on COP today is $1 USD = 4188 COP
My primary interest is in people who can effectively get things done. I’m less willing to pay a premium just for experience/knowledge. Mid-level people who learn well and execute effectively and collaboratively is more important to me for these roles. I’m hoping on hiring 4 new people.
But someone who can execute very well AND brings great knowledge/experience is someone I’d gladly talk to. I can justify higher salaries, but then the burden is on that person (if they are hired) to perform up to those higher expectations.
Those priorities make a ton of sense, and I'm glad to hear that the posted salary is monthly, as it fits my budget! I hope to chat soon 😄
What time of day are the main working hours? I live in Germany. That means 7 hours time offset. I would be able to manage that time slots partly overlap. Would this be ok or a showstopper?
We do a lot of collaborating. Some flexibility is possible, but being available for the early part of their workday is important.
