👋 A role in my team at CircleCI just opened up. I’ve been here 5 years (the longest I’ve been anywhere) and it’s a great team to be part of. Company: CircleCI Company site: https://circleci.com Position(s): Software Engineer (Pipelines Team) Location: Remote - but limited to Toronto-area, UK, or Ireland. Description: The Pipelines team is looking for a 5th engineer to help us reliably ingesting thousands of pipelines and orchestrating millions of jobs per day. Tech stack: • Clojure is our primary language (90kLOC across 3 services), though you need not be a Clojure expert (yet) • PostgreSQL is our primary storage • S3 is used for blob storage • Redis is used as cache in front of S3 • RabbitMQ for work queue • One of our services uses MongoDB • We use HTTP (preferred) and gRPC (legacy) between services. Compensation: Canada Base Pay Range: $113,000—$141,000 CAD. Apologies about the lack of information for other regions. Hi @stig328, would Ottawa, ON be too far outside of the Toronto area to qualify?
Hi @iaaware - I've asked for clarification from the folks making the decisions on that. I'm about to clock out for the day, so may not be able to update you until next week.
The official answer is that Greater Toronto Area is preferred.
On the basis that you shouldn't worry about applying if you cover at least 60% of the requirement in job ads, I would say go ahead and apply anyway. I know we have folks in Ottawa, so I doubt it's a hard requirement. If anything (looks at map) it's closer to me here in the UK so I don't mind 😂
