Greetings for San Diego. I gotta ask: why NO CALIFORNIA?

Didn't the FTC just ban non-competes nationwide?

Great questions, Eric. Non-compete clauses are not enforceable in California so it's a big NO for most of the trading companies

Charles, yes, for those who are making less than 150k a year

I think the ruling said that 150k limit was specifically for "senior executives with a policy making position". I'm not sure if that would include Engineering Managers or ICs, though I suppose it might depend on the role in practice or size of the company.

Most trading companies will still have non-competes. It makes sense, because of the trading strategies and etc. which I think it's a sensitive information
