I think I found a bug:

The most appropriate thing to do would be to create an issue in the re-com's repository.

I will be doing it. I tried to open a pull request, but looks like I don't have permission 😞

You lack permissions to push something into that repository, but creating a pull request can still be done. The workflow here is to fork the repo, push all the changes into your fork, and then create a pull request from your fork into the main repo.
