Opinions on https://github.com/day8/re-com? How does it feel to use? How does the UX feel? Is it fun/boring, opaque/clear, (un)sexy, conventional/obscure, gripping/dull, slow/fast, modern/outdated?

What would be the point of such extremely subjective qualifiers? You can visit the demo website yourself, browse the source code of examples, and get a general feeling of the library in under 10 minutes.

I'm interested in the community's subjective feeling, not mine.

Thinking about iterating on re-com, but it is a broad and pretty subjective question, the matter of what such an iteration should do or become.

My subjective feeling - re-com is like pliers in your toolbox.

I like re-com personally, I used in this project that you’re free to peruse https://github.com/danielmartincraig/car-designer

I was looking at it, and to be very honest, my gut feeling is that it looks unsexy and outdated. An updated theme might increase adoption.

We're working on a new base theme, as well as better support for pluggable themes. It's a bit tricky though, because we want do it as clojure devs, not css devs. That means a simpler design system that doesn't tangle with sass, bootstrap, webpack, react, modern css, etc.
