hi guys, avid user of proton here, may be interested in contributing to the future of its development

dvcrn01:07:10

great to hear 🙂 if you have any questions, please feel free to ask them here

spectre01:07:22

sure thing, thanks for a great plugin

spectre01:07:55

by the way what do you think about the performance in atom?

spectre01:07:24

with proton + a fair amount of addons, I start to notice that it slows compared to sublime

spectre01:07:32

I hear that 1.9 beta is faster

spectre01:07:52

just downloaded, and yea, I can confirm it seems a bit faster

dvcrn06:07:55

yeah that's a problem. Mainly because of how atom is implemented. If you look at vscode, it runs inside electron as well but doesn't have any of the speed issues

dvcrn06:07:18

sublime will almost always be faster just because it doesn't rely on a DOM and js

spectre19:07:57

right, yea that’s unfortunate, hope things can get ironed out like vscode, surprising to see that actually leading the way on speed

spectre19:07:15

I like this plugin and atom too much so I don’t think I’ll be leaving for a long time

spectre19:07:51

plus, learning more vim

spectre20:07:04

so have you left the sublime version entirely @dvcrn?
