@austincrft: I want to build a great editor experience that is easily extendable if needed more. In the case of highlight-selected, I think having the selected word highlighted should be part of the atom base functionality. I found it strange that it wasn’t there to begin with, that’s why I added it to the core layer. For the rest, yes I agree. We should have core as thin and essential as possible to have a great experience and have smaller composable layers to extend it

Nevertheless, I want the user to have a fully featured editor they can use right away as soon as they enable proton mode

I believe that's the same intention spacemacs had, so that makes sense

I hope in the future we can delegate package loads until they are actually being used

dvcrn01:02:11

but that’s a big one

dvcrn09:02:45

potential new default color scheme?

@dvcrn: I installed proton

dvcrn12:02:08

@robbyoconnor: great to hear! Welcome aboard

@dvcrn: I would try to use a color scheme as close to the default spacemacs theme

jessejanderson17:02:21

But the default spacemacs theme is terrible. 😛

jessejanderson22:02:07

heh, you can’t type spaces inside of iex...

austincrft23:02:27

I honestly don't feel like starting theme is too important. Don't you think most people will change it? I tend to use solarized dark everywhere
