Work for Practicalli over the summer has focused on keeping the main projects up to date and also improving the CI workflows for projects and books. Its much simpler to update projects and books now, so I have more time to work on updating and adding new guides. I've also been focus_ing on my health which was very bad over the winter, but is now at the best level it has been since Covid._ I am steadily adopting a Linux desktop using Wayland. I have been trying Hyprland as it is highly customisable, which is a pleasure (and also a huge risk of yak shaving configs and themes). I've tried NWG-Live and Garuda Linux Hyprland edition (a well thought out distribution that makes using Hyprland a bit easier. Garuda Linux has a useful Btrfs rollback feature should arch or hyprland packages make the OS go bang - Hyprland has many breaking changes, so frequently have to rollback (untill all packages Hyprland uses are working together). I tried Omarchy until I discovered how toxic the author is, through there advocacy of hate groups. My adventures on learning about Hyprland are all the way through the https://practical.li/journal/, but unfortunately its been a disappointing journey. Edit: I am dropping Hyprland as there are two many breaking changes. Sway and i3 are much more effective for me.
