last winter had a hammock in front of the fireplace, too easy to fall asleep there in the evening 🙂

Summary: • we kind of know how to map back and forth between spec and schemas • we know how to create a Row from a value and a spec • we know how to create Encoders (which are bidirectional, bad name)

First 2 bullets are implemented but intertwined

Third bullet has been PoCed but not generalized because of the intertwining

maybe we should map spec to an intermediate representation (be it a subset of spec or something custom)

and derive everything from this intermediate representation

maybe this mapping should be done in a shallow manner
