I enjoyed the discussion! I think "REPL as the primary means of interacting with a program" is a really useful state of mind. Reminds me of mobile first. With REPL First you'll have a good development experience, which makes it easy to do other things. Hi! Meta question: Is this channel really needed? It seems to mainly be used for announcements, and for that it is pretty weak with 116 members, compared to #news-and-articles with 15K members. And most announcements are sent in both channels anyway. I’m thinking it creates extra work for podcast hosts to feel they need to announce here as well. Most podcasts have their own channels as well, right? I see you, @borkdude, created the channel some two years ago, so maybe you had some idea for what this channel would be about? I’m totally fine with keeping the channel, but if we deem it redundant I can also archive it.
I created this channel to discuss podcasts since I love podcasts :)
I consider #news-and-articles the main channel for announcing new episodes, they don't have to be double posted here. Since there isn't much other stuff in here, you might as well archive it then. My hope was that we could exchange some fun podcasts to listen to, but that can also happen in #off-topic

If we give the channel a description and a topic maybe we can return it to what it was intended to. I’m not out to delete channels, just wanted to check. In any case, podcasts hosts, #news-and-articles is where you have the reach for announcing your sweet stuff. 😃
how about renaming it to #podcasts-discuss? for topic maybe „post new episodes in #news-and-articles“?
