What is Dire?

Just wondering what's the current status of Dire. I vaguely remember @michaeldrogalis saying something about abandoning it for something else, but I'm not sure.

@yonatanel I don’t maintain it anymore, it’s kind of “done”. I haven’t used it in a project in a while.
