We’re hoping to get out a technical preview of the next-gen stream processing engine soon. It’s been a very long work in progress, but we’re almost there. Performance will get easier to tune, plugins less complicated to write, and make batch integration (HDFS/S3) much much better.

Iterative computation & sequentially chained aggregates should follow almost immediately after.
