they're deliberately poisoning the bots that scroll Youtube because they don't want to share valuable video data with other AI labs. 😄 Some humans were harmed during the process as usual

My parents get sucked in by the slop. I could fully believe its just that people do actually watch it + there is so much of it

I think that there are certain kinds of "attractors" in the attention space, that are obviously wrong and stupid but will rise to the top of attention and stickiness based recommendation algorithms. anti-intellectual / racist / sexist politics, things that cause intense emotion (especially but not only fear, outrage, disgust), and a certain weird set of attention attracting characteristics that are being exposed thanks to AI, that are generally known today as "slop"

I'm trying out Proton plus first. It was a breeze to install on Linux and Android. It has a similar user experience to 1Password (seems a bit faster too). I'm just using the free plan at the moment, which seems to cover everything I was paying 1Password money for 🤷 Importing all the items into Proton Plus from 1Password was simple, using a 1PUX file. Seems like everything is there. Note: Exporting from 1Password via the Linux App was a bit of a pain, as I had to https://support.1password.com/linux-ptrace-scope-issue/#if-yama-is-loaded before 1Password would export the items (the export was failing silently) 🤦. There didnt seem to be an option for exporting via web or android. I will also give Keepassxc and Bitwarden a try (always good to have more than one tool I like using). Thanks everyone for sharing your experiences.
