I suppose the street cats don't have any reason to antagonize the hedgehog since they have much more easily available sources of food, and hedgehog meat isn't worth the injuries. And the hedgehog doesn't care because it knows that, since it has probably never had any negative experiences with cats.

Also saw a fox on our driveway 3 weeks ago. :) And we have a couple of kestrels nesting in a cypress tree outside the house. Noisy birds. And not potty trained. :(

Heh, neat. Yeah, "our" hedgehog also didn't mind the presence and even flickering flashlights all that much. But any kind of unexpected noise would startle it.
