Anyone here that prefers using the REPL for database exploration rather than a dedicated app (e.g. dbeaver)?

Yeah, I use a REPL with Portal and next.jdbc for DB exploration these days. I'm looking at dbxray but haven't got it working with our setup yet.

Occasionally, especially if it’s a box I can connect a REPL to but not run GUI apps on, but it definitely doesn’t feel as ergonomic to me as an app like dbeaver. Using portal with it is a good idea, that would at least help.

We've just added Portal to one of our apps so we can connect a browser to it over an ssh tunnel, and then connect an editor via nREPL and eval exploratory code using tap> to view stuff in the browser.
