For open source maintainers.... a little ditty on being a maintainer . It does contain a little tiny bit of swearing, so nsfw etc...

This was lovely. Also worth pointing out that it has closed captions.

quoll16:02:19

Her one on Lockdown made me laugh

p-himik16:02:20

Brilliant! :D Thanks for sharing.

lread17:02:08

Beautiful! Artful! Relatable!

Stefan07:02:44

Very impressively well done too!

wotbrew17:02:16

Sorry but not sorry: https://cljidle.wotbrew.com made with #relic https://github.com/wotbrew/relic/tree/master/dev/examples/cljidle 😽 it doesn't save your progress so you can thank me for that.

p-himik18:02:43

I'd like to report an issue - you can buy multiple Nubanks.

Stuart18:02:32

@U064X3EF3 please save the worlds professional clojure productivity and leave this out the next deref, thanks!

Alex Miller (Clojure team)18:02:54

I assume this idle is somehow mining bitcoin in the background

💡 1
Dimitar Uzunov18:02:35

if that is true we can ride the web3 hype

Martynas Maciulevičius18:02:00

Can I buy Nubank as a NFT?

Martynas Maciulevičius19:02:01

Macros that write macros baby 😄

Colin P. Hill20:02:52

feature request: thousands separators. my eyes are crossing 😆

wotbrew20:02:16

nah, its part of the difficulty like dark souls

wotbrew20:02:52

agreed though, it needs some string formatting before its ready for an AAA studio to pick it up

borkdude19:02:40

github down for everyone?

Colin P. Hill19:02:55

saw a friend tweet "rip github" and I spent a few futile minutes trying to figure out what news had just broken

Colin P. Hill19:02:34

turns out the thing that broke wasn't news

Jo I have a doc markdown file and I'm about to basically restate my clojure.alpha.spec. Is there some tool or something that can help me with this? I like this syntax from the datomic website as an example

Ben Sless20:02:42

Should be possible, metosin's spec tools and cider's spec explorer are where I'd start

I hate azure. There's no other part of this message, just I HATE AZURE.

Cora (she/her)19:02:26

I've used azure, you're totally justified

☝️ 2
Stuart19:02:56

I've seen ZERO UX / usability improvements in the last 3-4 years in the azure portal at all, and they must know it is utterly dreadful

Dimitar Uzunov20:02:20

the classic one was actually better

Dimitar Uzunov20:02:48

so they promptly deprecated it and created this blades interface

quoll21:02:04

This sounds very Microsoft… someone in the market is offering something they don’t have. Push something out quickly to compete, then have engineering neglect it for several years while sales pushes it on customers who are told they are getting state-of-the-art. Usually, they would finish by buying someone smaller in the market and using them to create something competitive, but I don’t know if there are many options like that in this space

Cora (she/her)19:02:59

I do everything I can to make sure I never have to use it again

Dimitar Uzunov20:02:46

Use Terraform whenever possible, MS have (to my experience a year ago) an up-to-date provisioner for it
