Digital Ocean nodes in NYC went down for a few hours, but they are back now. That was some "sweating bullets" time haha.
Started moving stuff to DO this week, but I’m in another region. There is no easy way of setting up a multi-region setup, no?
Not that I'm aware of, but I suspect there must be something. I have been trying to figure that out, too, mainly for website speed when accessed from other parts of the world.
Apparently they have "Load Balancing" ... https://www.digitalocean.com/products/load-balancer/ Still a little opaque to me what exactly the offering is
I already have one running for my K8S cluster.. but that load balancer is, again, located in a certain region. I plan on asking the support, maybe they have some pointers
https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tech_talks/multi-location-load-balancing-for-digitalocean There’s also that
Hmm interesting
