Good morning. A small visual joke to start the day. Which type of Clojure programmer are you? https://twitter.com/VincentCantin/status/1308548570342019073

Is here someone who happens to be located in Switzerland or nearby? We're having a weird network problem between a Swiss customer and AWS S3 Bucket located in Stockholm. There seems to be a routing issue that makes downloads from the bucket super slow. It would be really helpful if someone could test if they suffer from the same issue and if so, could run a few diagnostics for me.

I'll try to come up with some kind of a reward if someone volunteers to help 🙂

valtteri07:09:39

Also all ideas welcome how could I try to debug this by myself.

valtteri07:09:26

I'm located in Finland myself and the customer is having huge troubles running the diagnostics on Windows

valtteri07:09:51

Wow, I love the graphics

Get Remote Desktop to a vm on clients network to run your own diagnostics. I assume you want to run dig, trace route to find the issue?

valtteri08:09:44

Yes, traceroute, hping, mtrtest, tcpdump.. The usual stuff. I've asked if they can provide me some kind of access to the affected network.

valtteri08:09:57

Thanks for the tips!

valtteri08:09:44

I hope their corporate policy will let me in

valtteri08:09:19

I'm not seeing any issues over a commercial VPN in Switzerland. Mhmmh

valtteri08:09:36

Probably it's getting routed differently

Garrett Everding12:09:56

I think you need to get into their network

valtteri12:09:18

Yeah, I was hoping to be lucky and hit the same bad hop.. But no cigar
