But in short I just cannot really fathom how a few kb’s of short message delivery should require 600 mbs of RAM non-stop consumption.
You can strip out the DRM (which I do anyway in order to back up the books), then read it in any number of programs. I use Apple Books because, a) it’s there, and b) there is no b.
