created a ha setup of activemq artemis, trying to imitate the setups we have with rabbitmq ....
for our usecase this doesn't seem to be like the tool 😞
i need something that behaves similar to a raid cluster of disks (all nodes are active all the time, data is just duplicated on enough nodes to survive instance failures where majority is still possible) .... activemq's ha has a completely different approach to clusters and high availability.
also a queue across the cluster in rabbitmq means literally one queue, all messages routed to it are consumable from any broker .... activemq seems to have individual queues in every node and it just does it's best to balance those ...
maybe i'm seriously " holding it wrong "
redistribution kind of seems to work, assuming all the nodes have the queue
they've been working on it lately, I'll let them know
are you at http or https?
thx, they'll look at it tomorrow
Thanks for pointing this out and @U064X3EF3 for following up
