Spent 20 minutes debugging a python_web api, scratching my head and swearing at Guido, and then I recalled that there is a return statement in Python and it’s supposed to be used upon returning a value from a nested functional call. A Clojure effect ❀️

What's the maximum java version that would also minimize issues with clojure stuff? I've been happy with java11 but have to do a new install. is it worth going higher?

Alex Miller (Clojure team)18:09:06

we consider Java 8 and 11 (the LTS releases) to be our primary targets

Alex Miller (Clojure team)18:09:19

I don't know of any reason Clojure won't work with 12 or 13

andy.fingerhut18:09:40

but please let us know if you find out anything that seems not to work with 12 or 13, if you try them.

Alex Miller (Clojure team)18:09:59

I know Clojure builds and passes all tests with Java 12

jjttjj18:09:11

Ok cool, I think I'll give 12 a shot

Alex Miller (Clojure team)18:09:50

Clojure also builds and passes with latest Java 13 EA

Can anyone recommend me some Clojure trainers? Location does not matter. πŸ™ Thank you!

manandearth19:09:57

I recommend @plexus πŸ™‚

Thank you! I appreciate it!

That page has a bad link to the events page @alexmiller

seancorfield19:09:14

(I could submit a PR I suppose πŸ™‚ ... hmm, if my AsciiDoc chops were better 😞 )

Alex Miller (Clojure team)19:09:46

actually it was a valid link in the past

Alex Miller (Clojure team)19:09:54

section was removed there

seancorfield19:09:19

Should it link to /community/events now?
