4 monitors???

Aron03:06:11

my mind immediatelly went to -> how much is the rent..

seancorfield03:06:35

I've never gone beyond two monitors. Normally I just use a single 27" monitor.

If you've seen my screencasts, I have my editor full screen with no "chrome" and I hide the O/S taskbar/menu etc. I find that let's me really focus. I try to do everything directly in the editor/REPL/REBL, including docs for functions etc.

I have, sometimes, run a portrait monitor next to my big screen which I use solely for reading docs/books.

That's part of the issue for me -- I don't want to have to scan too far left or right, or up or down. That's part of what I really like about having Atom full screen with REBL, split 50/50. One file in portrait layout, small REPL panel. REBL in portrait layout.

my old coworker had one of those really wide ultrawide screens

dog04:06:44

i dont think it actually works well tbh

dog04:06:56

like you have to move your head around to see stuff

dog04:06:02

plus they get like around the same screen resolution as we do

dog04:06:12

like still the same old 1440p 1080p 4k and stuff

dog04:06:14

just stretched out

dog04:06:47

i think probbaly 30ish inch is the biggest we can have without moving our heads

dog04:06:06

"its probably a health benefit if we do tho"

dog04:06:07

you are sitting too close to your screen nate

dog04:06:07

i just use size 15 font

dog04:06:13

rip eye care

my mum uses 720p on a 27 inch screen because she refuses to get new glasses lol
