Anybody has a cool clojure project to share? (or other language, but we’re on a Clojure Slack here, so…). By that I mean any library that you found particualrly interesting on a conceptual level
Hired man mentioned that the b+ tree implement of datascript is really nice so I'm reading through that
If you like rust or ever wanted to learn, the rope data structure in https://github.com/xi-editor/xi-editor is a b tree that is generic. When over type string and it is a rope. The code in there is excellent, clear, documented and tested
Does anybody have an ASCII art of the Clojure logo somewhere? I would like to stamp my emacs 😄
https://manytools.org/hacker-tools/convert-images-to-ascii-art/go not a best .. but good base 😉
I think, that is better… for Clojure, as I see now http://www.glassgiant.com/ascii/ascii.php
Cool thank you for the suggestion!

@jayzawrotny I read in the #clojure channel that you were recommending Racket to a friend. I'm of the same opinion (albeit personally not being that familiar with the language) that it's a great beginner language. But which Racket books/resources would you recommend to someone new to programming? I feel HtDP could be too slow and wordy for many people.
@regen http://beautifulracket.com is very nice but I don’t know if it’s suitable as a general introduction (prob not)
https://gumroad.com/l/racketweekend is pretty good
This is a cool talk https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wNMVBaYaf4
@regen The one I’m going through myself and considering gifting a print copy is https://the-eye.eu/public/Books/IT%20Various/Realm%20of%20Racket.pdf. I feel like it has an immediate pay off for a non-tech beginner focusing around games.
I knew about Realm of Racket but had no idea it was written for freshmen/beginners. I skimmed through it and it seems rich with knowledge and I love the funny comics Conrad Barski draws. Maybe I'll try recommending this the next time I'm asked. I did actually recommend The Little Schemer to a complete beginner once, because it's slow, succinct and funny. But I'm not sure how well that went.
