probably bceause the US is a bigger country and, given their tough policies on drugs / THC in the past, might have come as a bigger surprise

lmergen08:08:44

when Portugal or Netherlands allow it, it has much less of an impact

lmergen08:08:54

having said that, to say that the US is "leading" this is quite a stretch

Looks like Uruguay is the only fully-legal country, and then Canada on Oct. 17.

Dan08:08:00

In Portugal is legal to have on you up to 25g

Dan08:08:45

Spain has clubs where you can buy and either use it there or take it home

jgh08:08:22

yeah spain looks like it's there too after reading its row

Dan08:08:49

But in Portugal even Heroine is decriminalised

jgh08:08:02

decriminalized is different from legal though. The good thing about legal cannabis is you can have companies that create different products that are consistent

jgh08:08:38

instead of just going to a shop and buying whatever they have in the jars that week.

jgh08:08:54

a dispensary in california vs a dispensary in toronto is night and day. In california they have all these brands with different kinds of edibles and oils and pre-rolled joints in packages, etc etc. In toronto it's a bunch of weed in jars. Pick the jar you think sounds good lol.

when legalization happens though then things will change, businesses will start making consumer products and it'll be good.

There should be some hot-key combo that outputs the character codes for arrows when you tap the arrow keys on your keyboard. Such a waste...
