android 8 is, odd. Automatic VPN from Google on public wifi, so all traffic will appear US based. Chrome is the only think that can "add to home screen" as there's a private apk signing process involved. Not very impressed.

@dominicm which other applications allow the "add to home screen" feature in previous android versions?, I though that only chrome was able to do it

I should clarify, chrome has made it that you get a icon reshaping if you're not chrome. It's quite ugly.
