@qqq maybe a raspberry-pi, they are pretty cheap. i've got 5 1080p hd monitors running on one
Is there a set of programming exercises somewhere where going through them will teach me how to write a type checker ?
I don't really want to read theory papers; I just want a bunch of implementation exercises.
Does anyone know the date (dates?) for the pre-conference clojure spec training before conj 2017?
Another way to put it: does anyone know if the conference dates 12 to 14 already include the pre-conference sessions?
these days, if you're writing a new IDE for the UI layer, would you choose java or web browser ?
I don't understand // as I'm not sure whether an IDE should be written using web-based tech or non-web-based-tech
@rafael It's on the site: http://2017.clojure-conj.org/training/
The conference itself is 9am 12th through 1pm 14th. Training is the two days before that.
(for folks who can't be bothered to follow the link 🙂 )
@seancorfield thanks, I looked for this info on the schedule
page in the website, didn't think to look for it under /training
Yeah, linking from the schedule page would make more sense -- and I'm sure they will once they get the draft schedule up.
That spec workshop sounds good (Wednesday 11th). We're already using Spec heavily in production so I can't justify the extra day and cost just to see what's in it, since I suspect it will mostly be more of an "intro" level... But it might have some interesting stuff too, even for us 🙂
Two new Clojure/Script books coming from Apress toward end of this year: https://www.books-by-isbn.com/1-4842/1484230086-Reactive-with-ClojureScript-Recipes-Functional-Programming-for-the-Web-1-4842-3008-6.html and https://www.books-by-isbn.com/1-4842/1484229517-Quick-Clojure-Effective-Functional-Programming-1-4842-2951-7.html
Unfortunately the quality of Apress books is quite hit or miss. Will keep fingers crossed.
awesome!
