looks like no errors but the sound is working, just no screen capture (all black)

hmmm seem to be working just fine on my GDM/GNOME3 setup

try doing a full system update?

it's fully updated, I've did both pacaur -Syu and sudo pacman -Syu

or this could be an arch issue for screencast software?

if you want to start your own thread, you need to create a message first, highlight it, then start a thread 😄
